How Provide Support

Thank you for considering providing a charitable donation to support the work of the California Veterans Benefit Fund.

The Fund accepts the following types of donations:

Cash Gifts

CASH GIFTS FROM INDIVIDUALS – Gifts of cash of any amount can provide financial support for the Fund’s general programs or be designated to support a specific effort. Checks should be made payable to California Veterans Benefit Fund.

CASH DONATIONS AS GIFTS – Provide cash support for the Fund can be made in the form of gift as part of an event, such as a wedding, retirement, graduation, birth, birthday and more. Donations can be made by the donor or to honor someone. If desired, donors can be recognized on the Fund’s web site along with the name of the
honoree.

PAY PAL – Donations can be made right now using PayPay. Make a Donation

CASH GIFTS FROM CORPORATIONS – Providing a cash charitable donation from a business or corporation is excellent way to support veterans and serve as a community investment. Corporate donors will be recognized on the Fund’s web site.

MEMORIALS – Donations can be made in memory of a friend or love one who has died. The Fund will provide families with a summary of the details of the names and contact information of those making donations and a tax deductible gift receipt. If desired, donors can be recognized on the Fund’s web site alongside the name of the honoree.

WORKPLACE GIVING – Donors can designate a gift to Fund through workplace giving programs, such as United Way, Earthshare, the Combined Federal Campaign, California State Employees Charitable Campaign or programs. Check with your company’s workplace giving coordinator for how to designate a gift to the Fund.

Non-Cash Gifts

SECURITIES – The Fund can accept publicly traded securities, which include marketable securities, such as stock and mutual fund shares and bonds. A gift of securities can result in valuable tax benefits to the donor. Discuss the possibilities with your financial advisor.

LIFE INSURANCE – The Fund can be named as a beneficiary or contingent beneficiary in life insurance policies. The Fund can also be named as the owner of whole life insurance policies.

RETIREMENT PLANS – The Fund can be named as beneficiary of retirement plans, such as pension plans, annuity contracts, 401(k) plans and Individual Retirement Accounts.

ESTATE PLANNING GIFTS – The Fund can help meet your estate planning goals by accepting gifts, such as bequests, life insurance and irrevocable or revocable trusts.
